PC / Laptop Minimum Requirements
Please note that the below spec is a bare minimum.
We would advise that your system exceeds this spec to get the most out of the software.
- Intel i3 Processor or Equivalent (Recommended – Intel Core i5 7th Generation)
- 4Gb RAM (Recommended – 8GB)
- 2Gb Hard Disk free space
- OpenGL 3.3 (Recommended – Latest Version)
- Directx 11 or Later Compatible Video Card (Recommended – Dedicated Nvidia 1GB Graphics Card)
- Mouse or trackpad (Recommended – USB Mouse)
- Screen resolution of 1024×768 24 bit colour (True Colour) (Recommended – 1920 x 1080 Full HD monitor)
- Microsoft Windows Windows 7, 8/8.1 and 10 (Recommended – Windows 10)
Currently, we DO NOT recommend high DPI monitors (4K, UHD, Retina, or monitors with non-standard resolution). We advise a max of 1920 x 1080 – 16:9).
RoofWright on Mac
RoofWright will NOT run natively on Apple branded computers as it is designed to run in Windows and NOT in Mac OS X.
However, Intel-based Apple computers are capable of running Windows with the use of BootCamp and a Windows licence. Other methods of running Windows on a Mac are not supported.
So if you wish to run RoofWright on such computers you will need to set up a Windows environment first and install RoofWright into it.
Any decision to upgrade the hardware or operating system to improve your experience or meet the minimum requirements is your responsibility.
We always recommend you seek the advice of a professional IT company or consultant before making any changes to your system.
